PechaForge is an early-stage tool for creating authentic Tibetan pecha manuscripts. It currently supports basic text layout, multiple fonts, themes, yig mgo, folio numbering, and PDF export.
As the project matures, PechaForge will either evolve into a standalone native app for Windows, Mac, and Linux — or be merged into TermaType as a dedicated pecha layout mode. Either path will bring:
- Full document setup — custom page sizes, margins, and column ratios
- Advanced page layout — headers, footers, page numbering styles, and section breaks
- Image & illustration support — embed thangka art, woodblock prints, and decorative borders
- Multi-script support — Uchen, Umey, Drutsa, and mixed Tibetan-English layouts
- Print-ready output — professional PDF export with bleed, crop marks, and duplex printing
